Not everything is going to go your way. As much as you wish it was a different way, there may not be anything you can do about it, so the next best thing for you to do, is change the way that you’re feeling from within. What I mean by this is, “control what you can control.” Your brain is way more powerful than you think, and with a little bit of help, it’s capable of digesting and working through external situations that you may have thought impossible to overcome.
It’s an inside job.
The thing you need to understand, is that everything needs to start from within yourself. You can hire the best trainer or coach in the world, but if you’re not willing to put the mental work in behind the scenes when no one else is around, you’re never going to get anywhere in terms of changing within yourself.
Believe in you.
It all must start with you believing in yourself. I know it may be tough to believe in yourself, considering the conditions that you grew up in, or perhaps the situations that occurred to you along your journey to adulthood, but you need to dig down, work hard, and seek to find that little glimmer of hope so that you can start believing in yourself again. Maybe it was a business situation that knocked you back a bit and jolted your inner confidence — whatever it was, or is, it can be overcome. Yes, it hurts, and yes, you may not feel like waking up and doing it all over again, but if you’re still here, there’s a reason. I implore you to go out, find your mission, and do everything you can, as fast as you can, to get started on your new path to progress.
Happiness is contagious.
What you don’t want to do, is let a rough situation that you went through, or are currently going through, hold you back from happiness. Life is just way too short for you to be unhappy. Believe me, you may think life is long, but it’s really not, especially when you’re surrounding yourself with loving and caring people and laughing and smiling every day. I know one thing for sure, “Happiness breeds happiness,” and “Unhappiness breeds unhappiness.” So it’s up to you to choose the group of people you hang around — make the right choice, and you’ll be well on your way to living a fulfilling joyful life, or, on the other hand, choose to make the wrong choice by hanging around negative people, and you’ll be stuck in the bottom of a bucket looking up at everyone else, always wishing it was a different way.
Find the solution.
The good part is that there’s always a solution, but you just may need to look really hard to find it — or maybe, if you’re lucky, the solution finds you because you’ve been doing all the right things and working really hard. I can tell you this for sure, “If you don’t take positive action on a daily basis, and you don’t surround yourself with loving, caring, and supporting people, it’s going to be a tough journey for you.” There’s a way that works, and there’s a way that doesn’t work, and my suggestion is to do what works, but to add a few of your own ingredients, so that you can blend up your own recipe for success.
Remember, positive mindset is what you need. You need to wake up every morning, get thankful for where you are and what you have right now, and then kick your dreams, goals, and aspirations into overdrive by taking actions that will move you closer to what you want to achieve, or where you want to go. No one else can do it for you, it’s up to you. The hardest part is starting, so if you can overcome that initial step, you’ll at least be giving yourself a chance. You have to be in it, to win it.
Keep it going.
Once you start, you need to continue. Progress only occurs by actively participating in your life on a daily basis. Consistent effort, over extended periods of time, is what works. There’s no get rich quick theme here, what it comes down to is syncing hard work, with smart work.
